According to Chinese government, China is going to install 108 GW of PV in 2022. A 10 GW module factory is under construction, according to Huaneng, and Akcome showed the public their new plan to increase its heterojunction panel capacity by 6GW.

According to China Central Television (CCTV), China’s NEA is expecting 108 GW of new PV installations in 2022. In 2021, China already installed about 55.1 GW of new PV, but only 16.88GW of PV were connected to the grid int he first quarter of the year, with 3.67GW of new capacity in April alone.

Huaneng released their new plan to the public, they plan to build a solar panel factory in Beihai, Guangxi province with 10 GW capacity. China Huaneng Group is a state-owned company, and they stated that they will invest over CNY 5 billion (about $750 million) in the new manufacturing facility.

At the meantime, Akcome stated that they will install more heterojunction module manufacturing lines in Ganzhou, Jiangxi province at its factory. In their plan, they will reach 6GW of heterojunction production capacity. They produce photovoltaic modules based on 210 mm wafers, and with a outstanding power conversion efficiencies of up to 24.5%.

Tongwei and Longi also announced latest prices for solar cells and wafers. Longi kept the prices of its M10 (182mm), M6 (166mm), and G1 (158.75mm) products at CNY 6.86, CNY 5.72, and CNY 5.52 per piece. Longi kept most of its product prices unchanged, however Tongwei increased the prices slightly, pricing its M6 cells at CNY 1.16 ($0.17)/W and M10 cells at CNY 1.19/W. It kept its G12 product price flat at CNY 1.17/W.

For two of China Shuifa Singyes solar parks, they successfully secured a CNY 501 million cash injection from a state-owned distressed asset management company. Shuifa will contribute the solar project companies, worth CNY 719 million, plus CNY 31 million in cash in order to structure the deal.
